Prestigious New Build Seafront Garden
“We have a coastal new build house. The drab garden didn’t reflect the house or make the most of its potential space. There are two levels and they didn’t connect with each other. We wanted a garden which had soft curves and plants spilling over looking lush and welcoming. We chose Outerspace on personal recommendation by friends. Terrey is the designer and she spent time listening to us and ensuring she knew our needs and preferences. This is a vital stage and we didn’t feel rushed. She then spent time considering the light in the garden and working out ways to best maximise the space and function of it. She came up with plans and we had further discussions were small changes were made til we were happy with the final design. Terrey’s husband Conrad is in charge of the execution. We had to wait a while (post Covid backup) for work to start. However Conrad and his team on starting the project came every day til its completion and worked in an incredibly professional manner. He kept us (and our neighbours!) informed throughout the entire process. Communication like this is rare. Terrey and Conrad are perfectionists! I really liked using this company because they provide a full design, execution and planting service. Conrad and Terrey conferred throughout which isn’t something you would get with a separate design and build set up. I could have planted it up myself but I’m very glad I got Outerspace to do it. I sent a list of plants I wanted and the colour palate required. Everything being planted at once means it grows up together and changes with the seasons. I’m delighted with the garden and can’t believe it looks so established already. I love the wide steps connecting both levels and the wonderful choice of hard landscaping materials. City Views Garden
“We have had the pleasure of working with Terrey and Conrad over the last two and a half years, firstly on our back garden and currently our front garden which is now close to being finished with just the planting to go. From the very first chat with Terrey after finding Outerspace online during lockdown I knew we could work together. Terrey suggested a visit to view our garden and was very interested to find out how we used our garden and what was important to us. A suggested design for the garden soon followed, Terrey was very keen for our thoughts and took on board practicalities such as low maintenance not just in planting but products to use for the patio etc. Once scheduled into the diary it was all systems go, Conrad and the fantastic team from Outerspace arrived. Sweeping Coastal Garden
Outerspace Landscapes carried out several complex building elements over many months in my steep tiered coastal garden in Clevedon over 18 months. They surpassed my expectations with their dedication to both the design and the installation in what is physically an extremely challenging garden to work in. Terrey provided a complete set of detailed design drawings for the courtyard completely transforming the space with Corten steel planters , a water feature, a small deck including a dedicated waterproof narrow planter with horsetail ferns. Phase 2 was the steep tiered garden. Terrey also provided a very carefully considered detailed set of planting plans for the 350Sqm of borders that needed sourcing and planting. Conrad and the installation team worked tirelessly over several months installing oak sleeper retaining walls, and the planting of more than 2000 plants , all of which had to be carried up more than 100 steps into the garden.

Secluded Garden Haven
Outerspace Creative Landscaping designed part of our garden into a contemporary seating and planting area. The design process was enjoyable and informative. Terrey came up with innovative solutions to make the most of the available space and potential sunshine. She really listened to our ideas and used these to produce a fantastic plan which fitted our brief, but more importantly she used her professional expertise to show us how we could make better use of the space and flow of the area. Grounds of High End Residential Property
We needed a Wow! landscaping design for our flagship development in Bath. We commissioned Terrey to come up with something to woo our buyers that also had to be commercially viable for our construction team. Curved Front Garden with Prairie Planting
We were thrilled with the planning, design, competent and excellent workmanship, planting scheme and overall look of our new garden. Terrey really listened to our own ideas and tactfully suggested her own better ones! The final look was far superior than we even expected from when we saw the plans. Scheme for Property Development
We called Terrey to our Landhaven Homes development site in Portishead mid-build to help with garden and landscaping plans. The garden had been derelict for years and was a completely overgrown mess. She grasped the high-end look we wanted to achieve and appreciated the limits of our budget.

Architect Designed Property with Modern Back Garden & Drive
After the construction of our architect-designed new home, we were left with a front and rear garden and driveway which needed design and attention as a matter of some urgency. We contacted “Outer Space” as a local company with an excellent reputation to match the high standards of our building. They did not let us down.
Beginning with the meticulous laying of the granite pavers for the driveway surface by Conrad and his team to the design and planting of the front beds, we knew we were in capable hands. They suggested suitable materials for the driveway to set off the design of the house. Terrey spent some time with us perfecting a complementary planting scheme for the front beds, which fulfilled our brief for an interesting planting to involve minimum maintenance. Today the shrubs are maturing and we are receiving frequent compliments on its appearance.
We called on Terrey to design our rear garden and were very pleased with the result, from the high quality of the recommended materials to the exemplary standard of finish achieved by the team of landscapers, it sets off our home perfectly. As a gardener, it was a pleasure to plant up the newly constructed beds.
We compliment the firm on their professionalism at every stage; making and keeping to the initial appointments on design and planning, working through the most atrocious weather conditions and still managing to achieve a meticulous finish, keeping to the set timetable for commencement of the projects. The team was unfailingly polite, well mannered and cheerful when carrying out the work.

Hot Tub Terrace
One of our new year resolutions for 2019 was to refurbish and extend the patio area of our rear garden. We firstly appointed Terrey from Outerspace to produce a design for this. She worked closely with us over a period of several months, taking our ideas and requirements into account. We knew we wanted a hot tub and specific areas for seating, dining and sun-lounging but needed some inspiration to create a contemporary look. Terrey gave us several innovative and creative ideas which she gladly integrated with our own. She provided us with a vision as well as product samples and examples of similar work to help us visualise the end result. She listened to us carefully throughout the design process and willingly amended the plan several times until we were satisfied with the final version. The final design was professional, clear, accurate and precise.
Before proceeding with the construction work we sought three quotations from different landscaping businesses using Terrey’s design. All three companies were very similar in cost but we decided to proceed with Outerspace as we were very impressed with Conrad’s knowledge, expertise and professionalism. We had seen first-hand the results of his work in the local area and were also keen to achieve a seamless integration between the design concept and build.
As soon as the work started we knew we had made the right decision. Conrad and his construction team (five in total) were highly professional at all times – always punctual, reliable, considerate, hard-working and good humoured. A tall order considering the weather was atrocious and it seemed to never stop raining! Conrad managed the project extremely well and was always on site with his team to take an operational lead. With meticulous attention to detail he had a passion to get everything just right and to a high standard. He was always approachable, checked in with us regularly and resolved any snags quickly and efficiently. After the work was completed the clean-up operation was as professional and meticulous as the work itself.
We are delighted with the end result and highly recommend Outerspace for garden landscaping projects. We look forward to enjoying our newly landscaped garden in the sunshine when it arrives.

Hillside Garden
Our family garden had become unlovely and unloved when we contacted Outerspace. I knew the look I wanted, however I had no idea how to achieve it. Contemporary Country Front & Back Garden
Outerspace designed and landscaped both our front and back gardens over a period of two years. Both Terrey and Conrad (and their team of merry men) were absolutely fabulous to deal with in every way. Long Gravel Drive
We are so pleased with the redesign of our driveway and front garden by Outerspace. We went through several design reiterations with Terrey before the project started in earnest. Sea View Deck
Outerspace embraced this project where many would have baulked at the sheer physical challenge and inaccessibility of the location. Perched at the very top of an extremely steep hillside , the team created a stunning decked terrace that afforded the most spectacular sea views and created an amazing outdoor setting for our whole family to enjoy.
We watched in awe and trepidation as Millboard decking, joists, oak sleepers, gravel and aggregates were hand carried up the 25 meter vertical climb along with tools and equipment. The team worked to the highest professional standards and the final result speaks for itself. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the completed project which was designed and constructed by Outerspace.
We have sadly since left this property, relocating to the USA but not before enjoying the deck through the amazing summer of 2018. It has proved a real asset to the property and definitely helped to sell our house when we came to relocate.
